15th minute substitution sees PSG drop to second in UCL group
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG-France), with international midfielder Lee Kang-in as a substitute, suffered an upset loss to AC Milan (Italy) in the UEFA Champions League (UCL).
PSG fell 1-2 to AC Milan in the fourth leg of their UCL Group F match of the 2023-2024 season at the San Siro in Milan, Italy, on Monday (Aug. 8).
With a record of 2-2-2 (6 points), PSG drops to second place in the group behind Borussia Dortmund (7 points-Germany), who defeated Newcastle United (England) 2-0 earlier in the day.
AC Milan, who picked up their first win of the group stage, are third in the group (5 points). Newcastle is last (4 points).
Lee, who scored his PSG and UCL debut in the third leg at home against AC Milan, came on as a 15-minute substitute in the second half and played until the end of the game.
However, he was unable to add to the offense. He was unlucky to hit the post with a shot in the last minute of the game.
Lee has two goals and one assist in all competitions this season.
PSG took the lead in the ninth minute when Milan Skriniar scored from a corner kick.
However, AC Milan equalized three minutes later through Raphael Varane before Olivier Giroud put the game out of reach with a header five minutes into the second half.
With the game on the line, PSG introduced Lee Kang-In as a substitute in the 15th minute of the second half.
