After wrapping up the regular season, the Kiwoom Heroes have begun reorganizing their roster.

Kiwoom announced on the 16th that it has requested waiver disclosures from the Korean Baseball Organization (KBO) for pitchers Hong Seong-min, Byun Si-won, and Lee Young-joon and outfielders Kim Jun-wan, Park Jun-tae, and Lee Byung-gyu.

It added that pitchers Kim Jung-in, Park Joo-hyun, Oh Yoon-seong and Jeong Yeon-je, infielders Jung Hyun-min, Lee Jae-hong and Lee Se-ho, and outfielder Kim Shin-ho have been de-registered.

Kiwoom, which finished last in the league this season with 58 wins, 3 draws and 83 losses, its lowest finish in 12 years, sent out a total of 14 players.

Among them are Kim Jun-wan and Park Joon-tae, who have been frequent fixtures in the first team this season.

Kim played in 76 games this season, batting .222 with 14 RBIs and a .315 on-base percentage. Last season, he was the starting outfielder and helped the team reach the Korean Series, but this season he lost his spot.

Park Jun-tae also failed to establish himself in the first team this season, appearing in just 14 games. He announced his retirement from active duty after receiving his release notice.

Hong Seong-min and Byun Si-won also had hopes of making a comeback with Kiwoom, but were unsuccessful and were released again. Hong has 307 first-team appearances and Byun has 120. 스포츠토토링크
